Blueberries are the perfect little power snacks that are packed with antioxidants. Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals that cause damage to your cells and can lead to chronic conditions. Blueberries have some of the highest levels of antioxidants and not only do they help combat oxidized stress, they have been linked to a wider range of health benefits including shaper cognition, better focus, and clearer mind!
A diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables provides a large supply of these antioxidants, to help eliminate damaging free radicals. The highest concentrations are found in fruits and leafy green vegetables, such as carrots, orange and red peppers, spinach and tomatoes.
Throw together this quick and simple blueberry smoothie bowl to help combat free radicals.
Blueberry Delight Smoothie Bowl

When blueberries are in-season buy them from your local farmers market and freeze. You'll always have them on-hand.
- 1 1/2 cup blueberries (frozen)
- 1 banana (frozen)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk (can)
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 tsp flax seed (ground)
- 1 tbsp hemp seed (as a topping)
Add all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.
Top with hemp seeds and toppings of choice.
I like to do my smoothies bowls in the food processor, however, if you have a high powered blender that will work too!
